October 02, 2006, Dodge Viper 500 hp Vs T-Zero Electric Car - See Who Wins

Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous. With an Electric Car it costs just $2.00 per 100kms with MUCH more performance than with petrol at $20.00 per 100kms.

By Clayton B. Cornell, July 9th, 2009, Chevrolet Volt Test Drive: Video of Driving GM's Electric Car

"Remarkably Unremarkable" has been the phrase of choice when describing how the Chevy Volt prototype drives. And that's really a compliment, since the car was engineered for consumers who won’t accept compromise, even for a an electric car.

By Sebastian Blanco on Feb.10th 2009, Washington 2009: Riding in the Chrysler EVs

People are rightly skeptical about whether or not the Chrysler electric vehicles will ever make it to market. For now, all we can say for sure is that some of Chrysler's EV prototypes can go for a spin around the Washington DC Convention Center.

We were able to go for a ride in the Dodge EV and the Jeep ER-EV with Crysler's Douglas Quigley, executive of product engineering for ENVI when we were in town last week, and you can see our video of the rides (no drives yet, sadly) after the jump.
